Chesterfield County is in the PeeDee Region of South Carolina, which is the northeast portion of the state.
Chesterfield County is the first in the region to receive a Lily Pad.
It is just under 3 hours from the Lily Pad headquarters in Greer, SC.
This office typically has teens that spend the most amount of time in the office.
Prior to installing the Lily Pad, some DSS professionals had contributed personal items to make the youth in the office more comfortable.
Each Lily Pad has a new, machine washable rug which grounds the space and jumpstarts the design.
Soft lighting and a pop of color create a calming, homey atmosphere.
Throw pillows have removable washable covers.
Gliders provide sensory support and the quilt was donated by Members of Foothill's Piecemakers Quilt guild.
The sofa folds out into a bed when needed. We have also provided a rollaway bed that is stored in the office and can be brought into the Lily Pad.
Books for all ages and interests are included to allow kids to curl up and get lost in a story.
The desk can be used for eating, coloring or homework. It is also available for case managers to use as needed.
A new feature was incorporated to this Lily Pad! This chalkboard wall in the shape of a house adds some charm and whimsy while also providing a creative outlet for kids of all ages.
The entertainment center includes a TV, DVD player with DVDs, Nintendo Switch & games, toys, dolls and sensory items.
