Chester County is in the Midlands Region of South Carolina. It is about 30 minutes south of Rock Hill, SC.
When we contacted the director in the spring about doing an installation for them this year, she was very excited and responded quickly with all of the needed information making it a smooth process when it came time to put everything together.
The office had an L shaped room with tall ceilings and an observation window available for us to use. The carpet was in good shape but the walls were very much in need of a fresh coat of paint.
Due to a variety of circumstances, we asked Board member Emmanuel Daniel and his wife Fanechia to head up the installation. They are wonderful maintenance partners in the York County Lily Pad and have been at 2 other installations.
We followed our normal process: Cara chose paint colors, selected and shipped all items to the office and put a visual rendering together. Jennifer placed a paint order and Lowe’s order with all needed tools and supplies at the store in the Chester area for Emmanuel to pick up. We gave all of the plans and instructions to Emmanuel and Fanechia and they arrived Saturday morning with their team to begin painting. They did a wonderful job and we are so thankful for their willingness to serve the vulnerable youth in Chester County.
