Florence is located in the PeeDee Region of South Carolina.
The professionals in this office manage cases of children in the PeeDee Region of SC that are legally free for adoption, meaning the parental rights have already been terminated. Many children do not have permanent placement at the time their parents’ rights are terminated and may spend time in the office regularly.
This office had a lobby available for us to create a Lily Pad. It was mostly used as a pass through and had unused furniture stored in it.
The day after we completed the Florence County DSS office Lily Pad we came to begin work on the Adoptions Office. We started from scratch and began clearing the room, unboxing ordered items, painting the walls and assembling furniture.
We used a favorite design we are very familiar with. Jenni painted the arches on the walls that add some interest to large empty walls. The couch folds into a sofa bed and there are two large recliners. All of the standard Lily Pad items were added to ensure that children have a place to meet their physical and emotional needs.
