Newberry County is in the Upstate region of South Carolina.

This office often serves as a waiting area for kids moving from the Upstate Region to the Midlands Region or vice-versa.

The original room, at one time, served as a family visitation room and included a wall mural, tv, broken futon, and toys. This room was outdated and in need of an upgrade to best serve the children and families coming through the Newberry Office.

Current Director, Antionette Alston, gave our team access to two rooms that had once served as visitation rooms. A plan was made that in order to best equip this office to serve the children in their care, our team would remodel one room into a Lily Pad Space and set the second room up for family visitation space.

Now, with an updated futon sofa bed, the visitation room can also serve as another comfortable place for a child to rest in the event that more than one child is in the office late into the night.
