Kershaw County is in the Midlands Region of South Carolina. It is about 40 minutes northeast of Columbia, SC.
This county office reported to have a broad age range of children in the office, anywhere from infants to teenagers and could have several kids in the office at the same time.
The room had recently installed new flooring that created a nice foundation to build on.
We added a pull out sofa bed and a rollaway bed as well. By adding some cheery colors and patterns, the room came together quickly and easily to provide all of the comforts and supports that a child may need while spending time in the office.
When you enter you are greeted with a cheery, clean, age appropriate space.
The couch folds out into a bed to use as needed and the rug is machine washable.
There is a place to hang a coat or bag, and the glider is inviting and offers sensory support.
There are books for every age!
Toys for all ages as well as fidget and sensory support items. A TV, DVD player and gaming system are included as well.
The desk offers a space to color, work or eat.
We pray this space allows kids experiencing foster care to have their hearts at peace, and know that they are loved.
Ready for any child, day or night.
Suckers provide another sensory support option and a monitoring system allows staff to supervise while being able to step out of the room when necessary.
Dolls and stuffies are nice comfort items and weighted blankets are wonderful calming tools.
